How to Insert Stickers on a Model Airplane
You have completed painting and assembling your plastic model airplane, and now comes the easiest part of finishing your project: Putting stickers, or decals as they are commonly known, on your model to distinguish it from other airplane models. Placing the stickers in the correct location, as outlined by the instructions that come with your model, is very important in making it look similar to the actual plane. Attention to detail is also an important part of making your model look good.

1
Lay out the stickers next to the completed model airplane. Check the airplane to make sure it is clean and dry, and make sure the stickers are free of dirt and fuzz. Consult the instructions for the placement of each decal.
-
2
Cut around the outline of the water-activated sticker you are about to attach. Immerse the sticker in water and let it soak for about 30 seconds before removing.

3
Peel the back off a sticker if it has an adhesive backing. Then attach it to the model.
-
4
Apply a drop of glue directly to the back of stickers that need to be glued on.
-
5
Attach the stickers to the model, making sure they are straight and in the proper location on the airplane.
-
6
Wipe away any excess water or glue with a soft lint-free cloth to ensure a tight and lasting fit. Too much water or glue will smear the sticker and cause it to fall off over time.
