How to Naturally Eliminate Dandelions
Dandelions have a distinct appearance with a globe of fuzzy seeds that some people can't help but blow into the wind. While they're nice to look at for a little while, they're also an extremely intrusive weed that can be difficult to get rid of if the right methods are not enacted. Boil down some vinegar for about a minute, and pour it into a spray bottle once it cools a bit. Boiling the vinegar will result in a higher concentration of acetc acid, which acts as a natural weed killer.

Spread some salt on the area where dandelions are growing, which will kill the plant. Don't spread salt anywhere other than the affected area.

Pull out the dandelions from your soil. Pull the taproot along with it, which can grow up to 10 inches deep in the ground. Removing the taproot will prevent the plant from sprouting further.

Spray vinegar onto the affected area, which should kill anything you may not have been able to get when you pulled up the weeds.

Spread corn gluten meal (CGM) on your lawn. It is 100 percent natural and safe for pets and children. Not only that, but CGM will prevent dandelions from growing in the future. It is effective for about 5 to 6 weeks, so repeated use is necessary.

Maintain your lawn by cutting it so the grass blades are at least three inches tall. Grass at this height or taller makes it more difficult for dandelions and other weeds to take root.
