How Do I Hook a VGA Computer to an S-Video Television?
Connecting your computer to your TV allows it to act as a second computer monitor. This functionality will allow you to view online videos and movies on your TV screen. Additionally, if you have a big screen TV, connecting your computer to your TV will provide you with increased work space, as opposed to a smaller computer monitor. VGA to S-Video cables allow you to convert a VGA computer to an S-Video TV.

Turn off your computer and TV. The computer and TV should be in reachable distance of one another. This will be determined by the length of your VGA to S-Video cable. Generally speaking, the longer cable you require, the more you will spend. In most situations, a 6-foot VGA to S-Video cable should be adequate.
