How to Make Boutique Bracelets
If you browse through small boutiques and online craft shops, you'll find cleverly themed boutique bracelets filled with charms and beads. These fashionable bracelets sometimes feature as little as five charms or, more frequently, are loaded with charms and beads. With some chain, jump rings and flat-nose pliers, you can create your own boutique bracelets to wear or give as gifts.
Things You'll Need
- Jewelry chain
- Wire cutters
- Charms and beads
- Toggle clasp
- Two pairs of flat-nose pliers
- Jump rings
Instructions

1
Cut a length of chain between 7 to 8 inches using your wire cutters. For larger wrists, cut the chain a bit longer; you can always trim the chain later if needed.
-
2
Gather the charms and beads you plan to add to your boutique bracelet. When choosing your additions, combine similar colors or develop a complementary color scheme, such as combining varying shades of aqua with varying shades of red.

3
Attach the toggle's loop--the small round hole attached to the toggle--to one end of the chain by opening one of the last links in your chain with two pairs of flat-nose pliers positioned at either side of the link's split. Slide the toggle's connector onto the link and re-close the link with your pliers.
-
4
Attach the toggle's bar to a jump ring by opening the jump ring with your pliers. Slide the toggle bar's connecting loophole onto the jump ring. Once the toggle bar is securely on the jump ring, attach the jump ring to the opposite end of the chain and re-close the jump ring.

5
Thread your first charm onto a jump ring and attach one of your chain's links. Close the jump ring around the chain's link. Continue attaching the charms to your bracelet until you have securely attached all the charms for your boutique bracelet.
-
6
Close the bracelet by threading the toggle's bar through the toggle loop.
