The Army provides benefits to current soldiers as well as veterans, which include health care for you and your family. For a complete list of benefits, talk to your recruiter, as each position and each area of the country has its own specifics. This information is based on the Army's website as well as the website of Tricare, their main military health plan, and you will have to verify this information with your recruiter and with your current health care provider.

      Go to www.tricare.mil/mybenefit/. This is Tricare's main website, and they provide the health care services and plans for the Army and the Army reserves.

      Complete a profile. Under "Profile - Step 1," select your beneficiary category and your current country of service and press the "submit" button.

      Under "Profile - Step 2," enter your current zip code and press "submit."

      Under "Profile - Step 3", select your Tricare Plan. If there are multiple options and you are unsure of which option to pick, click on their link for the "Plan Wizard" directly under the care plan list, and it will guide you through choosing the best option for you.

      Review the options in your chosen plan. Once you have chosen a Tricare plan, the site will automatically direct you to a list of information and contacts for a variety of health care options they cover, including injury, mental health, retiring, and family health care options.
