How to Upgrade Your Neopets

Neopets is an interactive virtual world that centers around adorable user-created creatures called pets. As your pets progress, you can upgrade their abilities to make them better fighters in the Neopets Battledome. Skilled Battledome competitors can win a variety of valuable prizes including weapons, avatars, trophies and more. These tips will help you upgrade your pet's endurance, strength, agility, defense and level. Before you know it, you'll be winning battle after battle in the prestigious Battledome.

Instructions

1. Take your pet to the Swashbuckling Academy on Krawk Island for training. Select which ability you want to strengthen. Choose between strength, endurance, agility and defense, or simply increase your level. The Swashbuckling Academy can train pets up to level 40.

2. Train your pet at the training school on Mystery Island to increase your pet's abilities. Locate the training school at the center of the island; its location is marked with the Neo-Fu flag. Unlike the Swashbuckling Academy, which can only train pets under level 40, the Mystery Island Training School is capable of training more advanced pets.

3. Spin the Wheel of Excitement for a chance at upgraded abilities for your pet. You can find the Wheel of Excitement in Faerieland. Give the wheel a spin and if it stops on the Air Faerie, she'll randomly increase one of your pet's abilities.

4. Give the Wheel of Monotony a spin to see if you can upgrade one of your pet's abilities. Locate the Wheel of Monotony on the Tyrannian Plateau, next to the Giant Omelette. Land on the picture of the faerie, and one of your pet's abilities will be randomly upgraded. You can only spin the Wheel of Monotony once per day.

5. Feed your pet a radioactive negg to randomly upgrade one of its abilities. You can purchase radioactive neggs from the Neopets Neggery.

6. Feed your pet a plaid negg to randomly upgrade an ability. Just like radioactive neggs, plaid neggs can be purchased from the Neopet Neggery. Be aware that eating a plaid negg may change the color of your pet.

Tips & Warnings

• Take your pet for free training at the Swashbuckling Academy on its special day. Each species of pet is given its own day of celebration. On that day, you can train your pet and upgrade one ability for free.

• Spinning the Wheel of Excitement and the Wheel of Monotony is risky. While your pet may gain an upgraded ability or prize, it could just as easily receive damage.

• The Wheel of Monotony can spin for up to four hours. If you leave the Wheel of Monotony before the wheel has stopped spinning, you will not receive your prize.
