      Open Publisher's template library and browse the label template category. Publisher has quite a few label templates you can modify to suit your needs. Click on the label that resembles the label you want to save as your own custom format. Click to open the template for editing.

      Select any images you want to delete from the label. Hit the "Delete" key on your keyboard to get rid of it. To insert your own image, go to the "Insert" menu and browse to the location of your image, then click to insert it into your custom label.

      Select the template text and delete it, then type your text in its place. To change the font style, select your text, use the drop-down font menu to choose a new font, then change the font size to suit your needs. You can reposition your custom image by clicking to select it, then dragging it to wherever you want it to appear on your label.

      Go the the File menu and choose "Save As." Save the label as a template. This will make it available to you as a custom label format in Publisher any time you need to use or modify it in the future.
