How to Convert a Windows Font to a Mac
Although today's fonts are in OpenType format, which is a universal format that can be used on both Windows and Macintosh computers, older font types may be specifically for Windows and require a converter program to enable Macintosh compatibility. Third-party font converters are available as shareware and can be purchased online at software download sites such as Apple.com and Download.com. Before purchasing a font converter program, try to add the font to your document program to test its compatibility.
