How Do I Change My Pop Server in Yahoo?

POP, or Post Office Protocol, is an Internet protocol used by local email clients to recover email from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection. For example, when setting up an account in Microsoft Outlook, it is necessary to include the POP server of a webmail account such as Yahoo! Moreover, you can also change the Yahoo! POP servers to redirect additional email accounts to Yahoo! Mail as well.

Instructions

1. Go to the Yahoo website and click "Sign In." Enter your Yahoo ID and password then click "Sign In" again.

2. Click the Yahoo! Mail icon on the left side-menu. Go to "Options," then "Mail Plus."

3. Click "Upgrade Now" to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail Plus. Enter your payment information and select "Place Order." The POP servers can only be changed in Yahoo! Mail Plus.

4. Sign into your Yahoo! Mail Plus account. Go to "Options," then "Mail Options."

5. Select "POP Access and Forwarding." Enter a new POP server and save your settings.
