Instructions

    • 1

Remove the microwave from the carton.

    • 2

Use the mounting plate that comes with the appliance as a guide to mark locations for the screws. Place the plate against the wall under the cabinet and use a pencil to mark insertion points for the screws. Double-check that you are using a wall stud for support. If necessary, use a stud finder to determine where the studs are in the wall. You need to attach to at least one stud to support the microwave properly.

    • 3

Drill holes where you marked the wall for the screws. Holes into a wall stud should be 3/16 inch. Outside a stud, drill 3/8-inch holes.

    • 4

Attach the mounting plate to the wall using the holes you drilled. Wood screws go into wall studs and toggle bolts are for areas without a stud.

    • 5

Locate the top cabinet template and tape it under the cabinet. Follow the instructions on the template to drill appropriately. You will need holes for screw insertion, a hole for the electrical cord and a cutout large enough for the exhaust adaptor. Drill where indicated on the template.

    • 6

Open the cabinet and thread the cord through the hole.

    • 7

Lift the microwave and secure it onto the mounting plate. Tilt the microwave forward and hook the back slots at the bottom of the microwave into corresponding tabs on the mounting plate.

    • 8

Push the oven back so that it is flush with the wall and have someone hold it steady.

    • 9

Insert a self-aligning screw inside the open cabinet in the top center hole. Turn it two full turns to secure the oven and allow you to install the rest of the screws.

    • 10

Tighten all the screws with the screwdriver.

    • 11

Install any filters or exhaust equipment that may have come with your oven. Not all models have additional exhaust attachments. Follow the instructions provided to connect the exhaust vent to your house vent if applicable.
