How to Change the Background Picture on Your Windows Desktop

You can use the desktop of your PC to display any picture you find online. It's so easy to do you can change it frequently and you will never get bored with the look of your desktop.

• Computer running Windows XP or Vista
• Internet access

Instructions

1. Find a picture you want to use online. You can browse the web or if you have something specific in mind, go to google.com, click on the "images" link and search for a specific type of picture.

2. When you find the picture you want to display, right click on the picture with your mouse and select "Set as background". This will replace whatever you are currently displaying with this new picture.

3. Unstretch the picture. When you set as background, the picture will be stretched out to fit the entire screen. This can leave the picture looking distorted. Right click on the desktop and select Properties. Click the Desktop tab. Click on the Position drop-down and select Center. This will remove the distortion.

4. If the picture doesn't take up the entire screen, select the Color drop-down and pick a color which goes well with the picture.Unstretch the picture. 5. Click OK when done to save the changes.
