How to Enhance Wavy Hair
Wavy hair is described as hair that naturally has a soft "S" curve to it. According to an article published by Skin Care Tips, wavy hair is a favorite among hair dressers because it is generally also thick and coarse, giving the hair dresser plenty of versatility in deciding on a hairstyle. The two worst enemies of wavy hair are frizz at the ends and flatness at the roots, which combine to create an unflattering bell-like shape. However, it is not difficult to enhance the beauty of your wavy hair if you are willing to follow a few basic hair-care rules. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Choose a layered haircut to make the most of your waves. Whether short or long, adding layers will enhance your wavy hair by making it more manageable, and will help you avoid unflattering shapes against your face.
-
2
Use hair-care products that are specifically made for wavy hair. Look for shampoo that is volumizing and leave-in conditioners that describe themselves as preventing frizz or being smoothing, creamy or conditioning. Avoid products that contain alcohol.

3
Towel dry your wavy hair by pressing and patting the towel on your head. Rubbing your head vigorously will create static which causes frizz.

4
Divide your hair into one-inch sections and use your fingers to twist the sections into ropes. Secure the ropes to your head with pins and allow them to dry naturally. When your hair is dry, remove the pins and rake your fingers through your hair to comb it. Your waves will look natural, flowing and full without being frizzy.

Tips & Warnings
Avoid using blow dryers or curling or straightening irons on your wavy hair. The heat from these items will straighten your waves and create frizz. If you must use a blow dryer, keep it on the "cool" setting and keep it directed at the roots, never the ends.

I'll have to try the pins in the hair and see if it works for my permed curls.
