How Do I Set Up a Systemlink 3 RCA Remote?

A common problem with home entertainment centers is the need for a separate remote control to operate each component. The RCA Systemlink 3 is a universal remote control that eliminates the need for separate remote controls. The Systemlink 3 has most of the common buttons found on entertainment center device remote controls. By programming each of the devices, you can control your entire entertainment center with one remote.

Enter Codes Manually

1. Power on the device you want to program.

2. Locate the code for your device in the Systemlink 3 instruction manual.

3. Place the remote control in programming mode by holding the "Code Search" button until the indicator light turns on.

4. Push the button on the remote control with the label that corresponds to the device you are programming. For example, if you are programming the television, press the "TV" button.

5. Press the number buttons on the remote control that correspond to the first code on the list.

6. Point the Systemlink 3 at the device and press the "On/Off" button. The device will turn off if the code you entered works with the device.

7. Repeat Steps 3 through 6 with the next code on the list. Continue until you find a code that operates your device.
