More often than not, the computer's C: drive is the main hard drive of the system. This is where the operating system, program files and nearly everything else important to the everyday running of the computer are stored. If you want to see or change any of the files in the C: drive, you can easily access the drive in Windows with just a few quick clicks of the mouse.

Go to your desktop.

Double-click on "My Computer"

Double-click on "Local Disk (C:)." You are now looking at the folders in your C: drive.
