Wet a paper towel and wipe the inside of the washing machine drum where hair appears. Since hair is also damp, it may not adhere to the towels. Push hair into a central pile. When the majority of the hair has been collected, place a dry paper towel over the clump. With a cupping motion, pick up the hair.

2
Rub a dryer sheet inside the washing machine if the drum has dried. The static electricity created by the dryer sheet attracts stray hairs.

Set the washer on the rinse cycle. If the amount of hair is excessive or picking the hair out is impractical, an additional rinse cycle may eradicate the hair. Do not add detergent or laundry to the machine. If desired, perform a general cleaning of the machine by adding 3 cups of vinegar and 1 half cup of baking soda to the water.

Empty the lint trap. The lint trap will catch dog hair before it enters the pipes. It is located near the rim of the washing machine tub. Remove debris, including dog hair and lint. Replace the lint trap when task is complete.
