How to Compile a Flash Movie
Flash files are usually worked on as FLA files. However, most websites and computers can't play FLA files directly, and no plugin exists to help. Therefore, Adobe Flash offers users the ability to compile and publish these FLA files into a variety of different formats, enabling you to create a version of the file that is acceptable for almost any media situation you will encounter.

Open the FLA file you want to compile in Adobe Flash.

Click the "Publish" setting to open the Publishing settings.

Choose the file type you want to compile the .FLA file in. Choices include SWF, HTML or MPEG.
