How Do I Turn Call Forwarding Off on an Alltel BlackBerry Pearl?

Call-forwarding from your cell phone to a different number can be important for your business. Also, you can use it to forward to a voice mail box while you’re on vacation or to your office land-line phone while you’re there. But when you're not in any of these situations, you'll need to remember to turn off your call-forwarding feature. Alltel was acquired by Verizon; owning an Alltel BlackBerry Pearl is no different than a Verizon BlackBerry, and turning off the call-forwarding feature is the same.

Instructions

    • 1

Press any key to take the phone out of standby mode.

    • 2

Enter the password when prompted if you set one up.

    • 3

Dial “*73” on the BlackBerry Pearl.

    • 4

      Press the “Send” button.

    • 5

Wait for the tone. This is confirmation that the call-forwarding has been deactivated.

    • 6

Press the “End” button. All calls should be received through your Alltel BlackBerry Pearl now.
