How to Make Your Own Natural Base Cream for Skin & Hair

Keeping your skin and hair cleansed and moisturized is one of the easiest (and best) ways to get younger-looking skin. The drier the skin, the more prominent wrinkles and fine lines can look. The drier the hair, the prominent gray hairs will look. Keep your skin and hair healthy and hydrated all day long--and save some money while doing so. Many store purchased products can be expensive. Instead of buying expensive creams, make your own at home.

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the water and Borax mixture until it is just about to boil. Do this in a separate pot.

Step 6

Combine the water and Borax mixture with the oil and beeswax mixture. Stir the mixture together well. Allow the cream to cool down.

Step 7

Apply the cream to your skin. Leave it on for several minutes, then wash it off with warm water.

Hair Cream

Step 1

Place the shea butter into a glass bowl.

Step 2

Put the bowl with the shea butter in it into the microwave. Microwave it in 20 second increments until it is completely melted.

Step 4

Place the hair cream into the refrigerator overnight. Take it out the following day and leave it out until it is about room temperature.
