Things You'll Need
- ½ cup salt
- 4 liters water
- Cloth
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup vinegar
- 2 cups water

Light Drain Cleanser

Combine ½ cup of salt with 4 liters of water.

Place the salt-water mixture in a saucepan over low heat. Do not bring the solution to a boil, but keep it on the stove-top until it starts to steam.

Pour the solution down the drain slowly. This will eliminate odors and help keep away grease build up.
Strong Drain Cleanser

Use a cloth to dry the area around the drain. This will prevent the baking soda from sticking to other areas of the sink.

Pour ½ cup baking soda down the drain.

Pour ½ cup of vinegar down the same drain.

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Pour the boiling water down the drain to remove residue. Repeat the process if the drain still seems clogged.

Do not pour boiling water down plastic pipes.
