How to Find the Right Size English Riding Breeches
Finding the right size English riding breeches can be a challenge, particularly for women. Manufacturers often have their own sizing guidelines, so a size that fits you in one brand may not fit right if you buy a different brand. Take your measurements carefully and match them with the manufacturer.

1
Using measuring tape, find your waist and inseam measurement. Measure your waist at the smallest part. The inseam is the measurement from the crotch of the pants to the floor.
-
2
Compare your measurements to the manufacturer's sizing chart. In general, your waist size will be the size of the breeches. For example, if you have a 30-inch waist, you'll buy a size 30 in breeches. However, this can vary, so double-check.

Consider the length of the breeches. Some breeches are made with an exact inseam, in which case you'll want to choose the inseam that matches your measurement. Others simply offer "regular" and "long" sizes. If you are a woman over 5-foot-6 or a man over 5-foot-9, you should order the long size.

Tips & Warnings
The only way to get a perfect fit is to try on the breeches. If possible, visit a store that sells breeches so you can do this. If that's not possible, look for a website that offers the option to exchange or return items that don't fit.
