How to Access Volume Control
Windows is the leading operating system used by the majority of computer users in the world. Audio peripherals are needed to listen to a wide variety of music, videos, and voice chat over the Internet. Sometimes whether you are using speakers or headphones, the audio you are listening to may be too soft or too loud for your liking. Fortunately it is easy to adjust the volume once you know how to locate the volume controls.

Taskbar

Navigate to your Windows taskbar menu. Press the arrow button to expand the list of programs available on your taskbar.

Look for your volume icon. Once you have found it, left-click to open the master volume drop-down menu.

Slide the volume bar higher or lower to increase or decrease the volume. You can also opt to select "Mute" to disable your audio system.
Control Panel

Click on "Start" on your taskbar, then click on "Control Panel." Double click on "Sound and Audio Devices."

Click on "Advanced" under "Device Volume" to open the "Master Volume" menu. You can also click on "Speaker Volume" or "Advanced" under "Speaker Settings" to open up further volume control options.

Click on any of the tabs such as "Sounds," "Audio" or "Voice" to open up even more volume controls. For the "Audio" and "Voice" tabs, you can click on the "Volume" button for each one to access further settings.
Accessories Menu

Navigate and click on "Start" on your taskbar. Afterwords, go to "All Programs" and then "Accessories" to access the folder.

Go to the "Entertainment" sub directory. Then click on "Volume Control" to access the master volume menu.

Slide the necessary bars between each of the volume sound systems. You can also choose to "Mute" each one, as well as shift the audio balance between the left and right channels. Press "X" when you are done to save your volume settings.
