Instructions

  1. Moving Your Ringtones

    • 1

Connect your phone to your computer using a direct connection cable. Most phones come with one of these cables, but they can also be purchased at an electronics store.

    • 2

Open the files on your phone by clicking on My Computer and clicking on the icon of the phone. You may not need this step as the phone may come up automatically on your computer.

    • 3

Find your desired ringtone on your phone or computer. Drag and drop the file into your phone's folder of ringtones. This folder should be named ringtones. Look for the folder that has most of your ringtones in it to determine what the folder might be named.

    • 4

Go to the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and click on the green arrow icon. This will give you an opportunity to remove your phone from the computer safely. Click on the drive represented by your phone and hit OK. You may now disconnect your phone.

    • 5

Your ringtone will now be in your ringtones folder.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some phones make this process extremely easy with wireless connection to your computer and automatically synced files. Putting songs into your ringtone folder is much easier with these types of phones.

  • Different phones have different size restrictions for how large the ringtone file can be. If your ringtone is not showing up the file may be too large.
