I heard Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield covers the cost of a tubal reversal but only on a case by case basis. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center in North Carolina also has pre-payment option in which you put $250 down as your first payment and after that as little as $10 a month or as much as you want to put away for the procedure. When you have the sufficient funds, you schedule and appointment to come in. You can also save $500 a month for a year and you will have 6000 or 1000 for 10 months and you will have 10000 which you can easily save whatever you have leftover for baby clothes and furniture.I found in-vitro fertilization is way more expensive than a tubal reversal surgery and with in-vitro you only have a small success rate depending on your health and weight.

   It is not an overnight procedure but after care is important, just minutes away from the center is The Residence Inn Chapel Hill Hotel which offers you a discount by mentioning that you will be having surgery at the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. You can find all the information on the website I provided under "Where to Stay". They also have a transportation company called Red Coach. You make reservations with them, give them your flight number and time you will be arriving and they come pick you up from the airport to the hotel and if you need transportation to the center afterwards. After your procedure you can mention to the doctor that you are staying at the Chapel Hill Hotel and he will visit you and give you follow up care and when it is okay for you to go back home.

   This is one of the only doctors that is much recognized for his success in tubal reversal. I know there are other doctors and centers that would perform the same procedure maybe at a much lesser cost or maybe more but my concern would be my health and safety.
