Microsoft's Xbox 360 is one of the most popular gaming consoles. Many Xbox enthusiasts enjoy the 360 for its advanced graphics display, and high selection of mature-rated games. The Xbox 360 also comes with an array of other features. One of its features is ripping or uploading music for storage purposes or to enjoy in the background of a game.

Instructions

  1. Upload Music From a CD

      Power on your Xbox 360 and TV set.

      Put a CD into the Xbox 360 CD drive.

      Wait for the Xbox 360 to recognize your CD. It will then direct you to a list of songs available on the CD.

      Select the "Rip CD" button at the left top of your TV screen with the "X" button on your Xbox 360 controller.

      Deselect any track that you don't want uploaded to your Xbox 360 with by pushing the "A" button on your remote control. Select the "Rip CD" button again with your "X" button. The Xbox 360 will copy your music files.

    Upload Music From an iPod or MP3 Player

      Power on your Xbox 360 and the TV.

      Plug in the MP3 player to the USB cable adapter that it came with. Then plug in that cable into an empty USB port on the Xbox 360.

      Click on the Xbox 360's "Music" button that appears on your TV screen with the "X" button on your remote control. Then Press the "X" button to change the music origin.

      Select the name of your iPod or MP3 player on the screen with the "X" button, and then browse through your iPod songs and playlists. Select a song with the "X" button and the Xbox 360 will upload the song.
