How to Troubleshoot the Weather Channel Toolbar
The Weather Channel toolbar, an Internet Explorer extension, is available for direct download from The Weather Channel's website (see Resources). As with any third-party extension, possible compatibility issues may exist depending on the version of Internet Explorer in use. In many instances, these compatibility issues are correctable, as you would upgrade your toolbar to the latest version or downgrade to an older version of Internet Explorer. However, other known issues, such as missing location information and illegal operations resulting in the browser closing, are well documented and easy to troubleshoot.

3
Type your ZIP code or city name into the toolbar’s location box. Ensure you spell the name of your city correctly, or that you enter a valid ZIP code. If you misspell your town or enter an invalid ZIP code, then an error will occur.

4
Click “Find,” but ensure you only click it once, as clicking it twice will cause an error to occur.

5
Click “OK” after you find your correct location. Do not click “OK” before finding your location, for if your do, then your location will not save to your toolbar.
