How to Take Care of a Scotty Cameron Putter
Scotty Cameron owns a golf club making company that merged with Acushnet in 1994 after Bernhard Langer used one of Cameron’s putters to win the Masters in 1993. These putters are handcrafted and usually come with a two-year warranty. Taking care of a Scotty Cameron putter involves wiping it with the silicone cloth that comes with the club and keeping a dry head cover on it. Excessive moisture can cause rust on the putter.

Inspect your putter on a regular basis. Have dings and scratches repaired before using the putter again. You can play plenty of golf without scratching your putter on the ball, but sometimes sticks and other hard debris will make scratches, or hitting it against something like a tree can cause dings.

Tips & Warnings
Always store your putter in an area that is dry and relatively warm. Do not store it in a cold environment.
Do not put a wet head cover on your putter. If you are playing in the rain, keep spare covers and cleaning cloths in the car to maintain the club after you finish playing.
Wipe the club with the silicone cloth a few times during your round.
Using anything but a silicone cloth to clean or polish your club can damage the club.
