How Do You Get FrostWire on an iPod?

Although the iTunes Store offers iTunes users a wide selection of music and other audio files, its collection is missing a lot in the way of live tracks. This is where file-sharing programs like Frostwire come in. With Frostwire, users can find and share content that may not be available on iTunes or in other programs. Frostwire also offers quick and easy integration with iTunes, so you can add music downloaded in the program to your iPod or other device.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Frostwire and access the preferences panel by selecting “Frostwire > Preferences” (“File > Preferences” on a PC.) Select “iTunes” from the column at the left of the panel.

    • 2

Select “Importing” and check the box next to “Enable iTunes importing.” Click “Apply” and then “OK.”

    • 3

Open iTunes and scroll down the column on the left side of the application window to the “Playlists.” Select the “Frostwire” playlist. This is a list of all of the songs you have downloaded in Frostwire, which is quicker than trying to identify them in your main music library.

Connect your iPod to your computer with the cord, and wait for its name and icon to show up in the “Devices” column. Select the music you want on your iPod from the Frostwire playlist, and click and drag it to the iPod icon.

Wait for the progress bar in the top window of iTunes to indicate that the file transfer has completed, and eject the iPod by clicking the “Eject” icon next to the iPod name in the “Devices” column.
