Homemade Cut Flower Preservative
Fresh-cut flowers that come from your own garden or from the florist make a charming addition to your home. They will brighten up a bare table or enhance a sunny windowsill with a splash of bright color. The problem is, cut flowers will generally last only a day or two before they begin fading and drooping and become unsightly. You can quickly and easily make your own flower preservative with items you most likely already have at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to strip any lower leaves from the stems before placing the flowers in water. Leaves left sitting in water will rot and foul the water quickly.
Change the solution in the vase every few days to keep it fresh.
Be sure to place the vase where children and animals cannot knock it over and drink the solution.
