How Do I Get Into the BIOS of an IBM Thinkpad?
A computer's Basic Input/Output System, or BIOS, is the way that the computer's hardware interacts with the software on the PC, such as an operating system. As such, there may be a time when you need to edit the BIOS settings of your IBM Thinkpad, such as if you need to change the boot priority option, or if you need to see the names of certain hardware.

Boot up your IBM Thinkpad.

Press the "Access IBM" button when the "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button" message appears on screen, then click on "Start setup utility." If you do not have an Access IBM button, proceed to the next step.

Press the "ThinkVantage " button when the "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue ThinkVantage button" message appears on screen, then click on "Start setup utility." If you do not have an ThinkVantage button, proceed to the next step.

Press "F1" at the IBM Thinkpad logo to enter the BIOS mode.
