How Do I Add Emoticons to Skype?

Skype is a free downloadable software program that allows you to send video, make phone calls and instant message for free. Emoticons are emotion icons that display through an instant message in a series of smiley faces that represent your expressed feelings at the time. At the click of a button, you can insert an icon instead of manually typing in an emotional status.

Instructions

1. Open your Skype instant messaging browser, and open an instant message box with the person you wish to communicate.

2. Click on the Emoticons box above the text box. A list of smiley face emoticons will display.

3. Click the Emoticon you wish to use, and it will automatically insert into the text box.

4. Enter Emoticons manually using the shortcut list (see Resources).
