How to Bring Out Dark Eyes
Applying eye makeup can be more of an art than a simple makeup application. When applied properly, mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow are all designed to accentuate the eye area. For individuals with dark eyes, eye makeup can bring out the eyes by brightening them or by creating a dark, smokey look. When emphasizing eye makeup, it's best to keep the remaining makeup colors, such as lipstick and blush, to a minimum. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Apply a bronze or green eyeshadow shade over the entire lid of the eye using an eye shadow brush. This color, serving as a base for the remaining colors, should be the lightest shade of eyeshadow you will apply.
-
2
Apply a darker color of eyeshadow to the crease of the eye. Try to apply the color in a single stroke, starting at the inner corner of the eye and sweeping outward.
-
-
3
Apply a light, shimmery color of eye shadow along the brow bone just beneath the eye brow. Use an eye makeup brush to blend the edges of each of the eyeshadow colors together.
-
4
Apply a black or dark brown eyeliner along both the upper and lower lash lines of the eye. You can also choose to apply a navy colored eye liner, as long as it doesn't clash with the eyeshadow color you chose. Ideally, choose a liner that closely matches the color of eyeshadow you are wearing.
-
5
Curl the eyelashes with an eyelash curler by placing the lashes in between the curler pad and pressing down for 5 to 10 seconds.
-
6
Apply black or navy blue mascara to the upper and lower lashes to further emphasize the eyes.
