How Do I Un-Mute My Speaker on My Blackberry 7100i?
The BlackBerry 7100i, a mobile phone sold through Sprint Nextel retail stores, is little different from what most people think of when they think of a BlackBerry phone. For example, the BlackBerry 7100i looks like a walkie-talkie and has a quasi-QWERTY keyboard. One thing that it does have in common with other BlackBerry models is its ability to mute your microphone during a call, in case you want to speak to another person or prevent background noise from being heard by the person on the other end of the line, and subsequently unmute the microphone.

Tips & Warnings
There is also a built-in shortcut on the BlackBerry 7100i to turn the mute option on and off. Press the mute button (located on the far left column of keypad keys, third row down) to change the mute option.
If you are using a headset, the best way to mute and unmute the BlackBerry 7100i is through the mute button on the headset. This is because your BlackBerry 7100i is often in a pocket or other place that makes the device inconvenient to touch when you are using headset.
