How to Set Up a Yahoo Email on Apple Mac

Yahoo Mail is a post office protocol (POP) email account that can be accessed through your web browser, or you can set up your Yahoo account using the Mail application on your Macintosh computer. By setting up your Yahoo account on your Mac computer, you can avoid the hassle of constantly signing in through a web browser. You can also create signatures, rules and new folders using the Apple Mail application to customize your mailbox.

Instructions

1. Click the "Mail" icon on your dock, or open your "Applications" folder in Finder and double-click the "Mail" icon.

2. Click "Mail" at the top of the screen and click "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.

3. Click the "Accounts" button and click the "+" button to create a new account.

4. Type in your full name, email address and password. Click the "Create" button to search the Yahoo server for your account, and click "Create" to complete the setup.
