PayPal allows refunds for any transaction, including those made through eBay auctions. The only contingency PayPal states is that “you have up to 60 days to refund the payment and get the fees back.” This means, PayPal also refunds the PayPal fees associated with the transactions for any refunds completed within 60 days. The refund process takes just a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into your PayPal account. This opens to your main account page.

    • 2

Click “payments received” located just above the list of transactions on the left. This sorts your payments received by date for easier searching.

    • 3

Click “details” for the transaction that you wish to refund. This is located in the fifth row and is highlighted blue.

    • 4

Click “issue refund” on the page detailing the transaction. The “issue refund” tab is located under the net amount received. In the issue refund screen input the information.

    • 5

    • 6

Click “issue refund” to complete the refund.
