How to Re-Download Windows Volume Control

Windows Volume Control has been a staple feature on computers and laptops since the home PC was invented. The user interface has not changed since then. It allows the user to control volume level and equalization. Sometimes, the Volume Control can become corrupted and no longer work due to viruses, or other registry errors may corrupt the files. Fortunately, you can re-download the same Volume Control feature and restore it to a working condition in no time.

Instructions

1. Visit a website, such as Softpedia or Brothersoft, that allows people to download a fresh copy of Windows Volume Control for free.

2. Hit the "Download" button and download the file to your computer. Remember where you have saved the file so you can find it again.

3. Double click the file icon after it is finished downloading and install it to your computer. It will ask you if you want the tool as your default sound player. Hit "Next" to confirm this.

4. Hit the "Install" button to finish installation. Your new Volume Control icon should be in the lower right hand corner of your computer.
