Instructions

1
Prepare your work surface. Cover the area with newspaper or an old towel to protect the surface from paint spills.
-
2
Attach a flexible stencil to the mug using repositionable tape. This step is optional as you could also hand-paint a design on to the mug instead of using a stencil.
-
-
3
Paint the outline of the stencil on to the mug using a thin paintbrush or sketch out your own design instead. Consider adding further customization to the mug by personalizing the design with names or nicknames.
-
4
Fill in the outline using the colors of your choice. Feel free to use different-size paintbrushes depending on the size of the design.
-
5
Place the mug in to the oven while it is still cold. Follow the instructions on the ceramic paint label for using an oven to cure the paint. Allow the mug to cool before moving on.
-
6
Use a large paintbrush to cover the design with high-gloss glaze, then repeat the baking process to finalize the design.
