As the brand's popularity continues to grow, more knock-offs will begin to emerge. Use these simple steps to find the real thing.

1. Search the bag's exterior for an embossed metal plaque that reads "LOVCAT" or a heart-shaped buckle.

2. Feel the material. Nearly every Lovcat wallet or handbag is made of leather.

3. Look inside the purse or wallet to see if the lining is made of the brand's signature heart print fabric: white hearts on a light pink background

4. Check the price tag. As of 2010, a new Lovcat bag or wallet will cost approximately $100 and you are lucky to get a used bag for less than $65. If the item only costs $10 or $15, it is probably not a genuine Lovcat.
