How to Train to Be a Limo Driver
Limousine drivers train either on-the-job or through independent training programs. Although limousine companies accept job applications from anyone with a clean driving record, inexperienced chauffeurs can become more appealing applicants through completion of a limo driver training course. The primary purpose of this training is to familiarize new chauffeurs with the etiquette and expectations of the profession. However, some driving techniques are also taught.

Assess the local job market by reading the classifieds or calling limousine companies to see if there are openings for chauffeurs in your area.

Contact your state transportation agency to find out the requirements for limousine drivers. Determine if you meet the minimum requirements and request any forms needed to apply.

Economic ups and downs strongly affect private car hires. Independent limo driver training programs cannot guarantee you will be hired by a limousine company.
