Knowing the best way to mix various font types can help improve the quality and appearance of your presentation. Although font frequently goes unnoticed, its effects are still important in shaping the overall perception of your piece. Choose no more than three or four typefaces to use.
There are two types of fonts: serif and sans serif. Sans serif fonts do not have small lines, called serifs, at the ends of letter strokes; fonts such as Arial and Helvetica are sans serif fonts. Serif fonts such as Garamond and Times New Roman have these small strokes. -

Use sans serif fonts for large headings, chapter titles and other attention-getting headlines. Sans serif fonts are easy to read from a distance and are better at gaining and keeping the attention of a reader.
