How to Change the Sender Name in the Exchange Mailbox
At a place of work, you typically are on an Microsoft Exchange server that handles your email. Most of the time, you will be working within Outlook or maybe Windows Mail, two programs that make it very easy to change the sender name in your email account. This is a useful tool if you just got married or need to add a middle initial to alleviate being confused with someone else in the office. Check with your network administrator before attempting to change your name in this program to make sure you are allowed to make this type of change.

Outlook 2007

Open Outlook.

Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "E-mail Accounts."

Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts." Click the "Next" button.

Highlight the Exchange account that you want to change. Click the "Change" button.

Type you new name in the "Your Name" field. Click the "Test Account Settings..." button. Click the "Next" button.

Click the "Finished" button. Close all windows. Restart Outlook.
Windows Mail

Open Windows Mail.

Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Accounts."

Highlight the Exchange account that you want to change. Click the "Properties" button.

Type you new name in the "Name" field. Click the "Apply" button. Click the "OK" button.

Close all windows and restart your Windows Mail.
