How to Create Free Printable Congratulations Cards
We can probably all relate to the problem of picking the right congratulation card for a special person and/or occasion. Sometimes you like the design, but the text does not exactly match with what you would like to say, and vice-versa. An easy solution to the problem would be to design and print your own personalized congratulation cards on the computer.

1
Browse the web and select a website, for example Greetingsisland.com or Bluemountain.com, that offer free printable card templates. Several websites offer a variety of designs for congratulation cards. Choose a website that you like, by taking a look at all the options it offers for you.

2
Choose a template that fits your interest. Decide whether you would like to add your own picture or choose a provided theme. Greetingsisland allows you to add a picture on any of the four pages of your card. Therefore you can add a picture on the outside, inside or backside of the card.

Insert your text on the pages you would to have something written and format it. On the front page you could use a saying or short poem as your greeting and add a personal note on the inside of the card. You can also leave one page blank to add a handwritten note after printing. If you are printing several cards, it might be easier to type the text to save some time. Double-check all your text to avoid typos.

Select the print preview to make sure that the card will fit on your selected paper size. Most websites will print your card on a standard 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch page. If you are using a special size and type of paper make sure to check your printer options to adjust the setting before printing. Also make sure that your printer is set to print in color. Card stock would be recommended for printing your cards, because it is a bit sturdier than regular paper.
-
5
Start printing your personalized congratulation card(s). If you added text and/or images to both the inside and outside of the card, you will need to turn the first printed page and insert it into your printer a second time to print all sides.
-
6
Fold your card appropriately and add handwritten note and/or signature if you chose to do so.
