How to Capture Flash Movies on a Mac

Flash videos are a video file format developed by Adobe. These files have the file extension FLV or SWF and are often used to stream video over the Internet. Many major video streaming websites encode their video content as Flash video. If you want to save a streaming Flash video, you need to capture the content as it streams. On a Mac computer, you can use tools that work with the Firefox web browser instead of downloading a third-party application. Firefox is the only browser that allows for direct add-ons to capture Flash video. Firefox plug-ins are free to use and work directly in the browser.
