Instructions

    • 1

Before you go to bed, lightly mist your entire head with a spray bottle filled with plain water and divide your hair into small segments.

    • 2

Cover each of the segments with gel or mousse.

    • 3

Cut several strips of fabric from an old pillowcase or t-shirt. Each of the strips should be a couple inches longer than your hair.

    • 4

Tie the first strip into a knot around the base of a segment of your hair. The knot should fall in the center of the strip.

    • 5

Wrap this segment of hair around the knot.

    • 6

Tie the ends of the strip together over the hair after it has been completely wrapped around the knot.

    • 7

Repeat wrapping and tying every segment until your entire head is covered.

    • 8

Sleep that night with your head covered in the knotted strips.

    • 9

Remove the strips from your hair the next morning and spray your entire head with hair spray to help the curls stay in place all day.
