Delete Existing Program

Click 'Start' from the bottom-left corner and go to Control Panel in the pop-up menu.

Select "Add or Remove Programs" from the list.

Scroll down and select "Yahoo Messenger" and click on "Change/Remove." When prompted, click "Finish" to complete the uninstall process.
Reinstalling Yahoo! Messenger

Go to messenger.yahoo.com for the most recent version of Yahoo! Messenger.

Click "Download Now" and then on "Save File" when prompted. Note the file or folder to which the program will be downloaded. This is usually your desktop.

Go to your desktop (or file to which the program was downloaded) and double-click the Yahoo! Messenger installation icon. Follow the steps to complete the installation.
