How to Wear a Half Wig

Here are some tips on how to wear a half wig.

1. Half Wig. Select a half wig based on the type of style you want. This may be a straight style, short hair style, afro hair style, highlights, wavy hair style, or curly textured style.

2. Blending. Decide if you are going to blend the two textures of hair or wear a headband. This usually involves using a curling iron, flat iron, or hair rollers to achieve the same texture as the half wig. Use head styling tools first. Most half wigs are synthetic, and heat may break down the fibers of the half wig. Part the first inch or so of the hair line if you are going to blend. Braid or bobby pin your hair that will be underneath the half wig. Put on a wig cap or use a singe flesh colored or black knee high.

3. Wig Styles. Put the wig on and secure the combs in the front and the back. Make sure that the ear tabs line up with your ears. Use large bobby pins to secure the wig.
