How to Make an Ocean-Themed Candleholder

Use shells and sand to capture the feeling of the ocean on your candleholder.

Candles add atmosphere to a room and candleholders are easy to make to contribute to that mood. For homes at the beach or rooms with a nod to the sea, create an ocean-themed candleholder.

Things You'll Need

• Strong epoxy glue
• Seashells
• Large glass container
• Clean sand
• Candle

Instructions

1. Glue shells all around the outside of the glass, circling around in layers.

2. Let dry thoroughly.

3. Add about 3 inches of sand into the bottom of the glass vase.

4. Set your chosen candle into the sand.

5. Put a few shells in the sand around the candle.

Tips & Warnings

• Choose clear glass jar to use as the main piece of your candleholder. It needs to be tall and wide-mouthed that will hold a candle with some room to spare on the sides.

• Be care with the lighters or matches.
