How to Put iTunes Videos Onto an MP3 Player

If your MP3 player has a screen that allows videos, you can use iTunes to transfer your videos onto the player. ITunes organizes the digital video files and MP3s on your computer. ITunes can be downloaded for free, and is easily compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. If you want to transfer a video from your iTunes onto an MP3 player, you simply need to make sure that you have enough available space on the player.

Instructions

1. Plug your MP3 player into the computer by connecting both ends of the USB cable. The computer should automatically recognize the device, but if it doesn't, open up iTunes manually by double clicking on its icon. An MP3 player icon should appear in the left-hand column in iTunes. The icon will also appear on the computer's desktop.

2. Look in the top, left-hand column in iTunes for "LIBRARY." Right below "LIBRARY," click either "TV Shows" or "Movies," depending on which type of video media you plan to copy onto your MP3 player. You should see the video media library of your iTunes on the main screen.

3. Select the specific video you intend to put on the MP3 player in the "TV Shows" or "Movies" section of the iTunes video library by clicking the title and dragging it into the left-hand column, on the MP3 player icon. The video will now copy onto the MP3 player, which will take just a few seconds, depending on the size of the video file.

4. Click "Eject'" at the right of the MP3 icon in the left-hand column of iTunes when you've finished uploading videos. Wait a few seconds before unplugging the device, and then your MP3 player can be safely removed from the computer. Once you remove the MP3 player, you can watch your newly uploaded video collection on your device.

Tips & Warnings

• As you upload videos onto your MP3 player, it will also charge its internal battery. If you want to get a full charge, keep it plugged in an extra 15 minutes.

• Videos take up a large quantity of space on most MP3 players, with a single half hour TV show filling more than 300 MBs. If you desire a lot of videos on your MP3 player, just be sure you have plenty of storage space before you attempt an upload.

• If the MP3 player icon doesn't show up in iTunes, follow the same process of transferring videos but drag the video names from the iTunes library onto the icon that is visible on the desktop.
