How to Remove HP Programs

In addition to standard programs such as Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, many Hewlett-Packard computers are preloaded with software from HP and other third-party manufacturers. For many users, these additional software programs are unnecessary and take up space on the computer's hard drive. Some programs that are automatically configured to load at startup will also slow down the performance of the machine. To assist users with removal of unwanted software, HP provides instructions for uninstalling programs at its support website.

    • 3

Click the "Change/Remove" button next to the program and confirm the selection when prompted.

    • 4

Repeat the process to remove additional HP programs. Restart the computer after the programs are removed to allow the changes to take affect.
