Unless you want to take the scenic route to enjoy the view, most people chose the short cut. When it comes to using Word, there are no scenic routes - only boring technical jargon and processes. A button template is a shortcut that saves a lot of time and effort. With a few clicks of the mouse and keyboard, you can make a button template.

Open Microsoft Word software. Click on the "File" tab in the top left of the toolbar. Select the "New" tab in the dropdown menu.

Click on the "Develop" button in the toolbar. Click on the "Insert" button. Click on the "Button" tab in the dropdown box.

Click anywhere on the document. A button appears in the spot.

Click the right button of the mouse. Select the "Format Control" tab on the dropdown menu. Select a macro for the button.

Click the "File" button in the top left corner of the window. Click the "Save As" button. Type the title of the button template.

Click the "Downward Arrow" button on the right of the "Save as Type" section. Select the "Document Template" tab in the dropdown menu. Click the "Save" button on the bottom right corner. Your button template is now ready for future use.
