How to Make Sea Glass Projects
You find it on the beach, most likely while you are on vacation. Until now, you have kept it stored in glass jars, because it is pretty, especially when the light shines through it. But you may be wondering what else you can do with it. You can create sea glass crafts--light switches, night lights, lamps or mirrors. You can create accents for your home, or you can give the crafts you create.

1
Arrange small pieces of sea glass the way you want on a plain plastic light switch plate. You might try alternating colors, or forming a spiral with the pieces of sea glass. Add other items, if you desire, such as small seashells or tiny stones.
-
2
Glue the pieces of sea glass onto the switch plate, one at a time. Try to stay true to your original layout. Apply glue to each piece, hold it in place for 1 minute. Glue on the next piece of sea glass.

3
After you glue the pieces of sea glass onto the light switch plate, go back and fill in any empty spaces with smaller pieces of sea glass or other items, to get the effect you want.
-
4
Allow to dry completely before using.

Use the same technique on other objects---a votive candle holder, a flat plastic night lamp, a small mirror or a clear glass table lamp. Any flat surface that also serves as a light source will serve to bring out the natural beauty and highlights of your sea glass.
